Question: Resolve ESXi host not saving "CPU & Memory" checkbox under List Resources for a Node

Question

I have a number of older (timeframe not version) ESXi 5.0 hosts that are not saving the checkbox and not showing multi-cpu values. I have added two new ESXi 5.0 hosts and they save the "CPU & Memory" checkbox and show the multi-cpu values. Both are polled directly. Where is this checkbox value saved in the DB? Or how can i correct this issue and get the older hosts to save this value?

One more thing, it sounds like the "new" hosts are being monitored via SNMP and not through the VMware API and the "old" nodes are being monitored via the API. When a node is monitored with the VMware API, then the checkboxes don't actually do anything (sorry for the confusion there). Make sure you have assigned VMware credentials to the new nodes.

The checkbox is not stored directly in the database. When you check the box, we create pollers for the select. You can see these pollers in the Pollers table. In the case of VMware hosts, we use the IVIM module to actually poll for this data so specific pollers aren't created. Are these hosts being correctly recognized as hosts? Do you see them all in the VIM_Hosts table?
