Manipulating the network summary screen

Greetings, im trying to modify the view for the network summary screen to display information by:

Country > Site > Location > List of devices at location

 

However looking at the network node properties there doesnt seem to be an option to organise devices by Country and or site, there is only the option to display information by "City" "Comments" or "Department"

 

I have been able to achieve this so far by cheating somewhat, i have set the SNMP location on the device to: Building A, First Floor, the node propery for department to the name of the site (London) and the city to the country identifier for each network node (UK).

 

From the network summary, this now displays objects in the following fashion

[Root]

First Level: UK

Second Level: London

Third Level: Building A, 1st Floor

Fourth Level: List of devices

 

Is there a way of adding fields to the node properties so that i can display devices as per the above?

Hi Mark,

 

You need to look to use the Custom Property editor to create the structure you require and then populate the information to provide the filtering.

The Custom Property editor is a console application on the server, which you can then populate with data via that application or the web Node Management.
