Problem with Trap Viewer

I am trying to get the trap viewer to change the color of incoming traps, but with no luck.

I right click on the trap that I'm trying to change colors. In this case it is a linkUp trap.

In the conditions tab it shows

Traps received where any of the following are true:

SNMPv2-MIIB: snmpTrapOID is equal to linkUp

and in the Alert actions tab:

Color the Trap with this background color (green)

This took me a little playing to isolate. Even the "Add rule" enters the rule's conditions and it's wrong. It won't work until you remove the "SNMPv2-MIIB: " portion of the condition.

Are you running version 8.1?

I'm running into a few issues with the latest version. It doesn't want to send emails and gives an error indicating it's an eval version if I try to copy anything to the clipboard. I have a support ticket open so we'll see what they have to say abou it.

Yes, I'm now running version 8.1. I had the same problem with 8.0.

I have also had the same problems with email and copying to the clipboard.

I have not successfully been able to have any actions fire based on the condition tab. I have been able to test most the actions based on IP address though.

Getting rid of the SNMPv2-MIB portion of the condition did the trick.
