Data Processor and Polling Controller Services Crash on Startup

Question

I am having an issue with the "SolarWinds Collector Data Processor" and "SolarWinds Collecting Polling Controller" services.  They continually crash on startup with the following .NET Runtime 2.0 Errors:

I have searched this forum for troubleshooting suggestions.  In most cases, the advice seems to be to revert the .SDF files for the Job Engine, Job Tracker, and Polling Collector to the original, blank .SDF files.

My question is:  What do I lose by reverting back to the blank .SDF files?  What data is stored in the .SDF files?

Check the Windows event logs to see what might be the issue. Make sure Anti-virus or similar end point protection software isn't interfering with the application. Below is a list of folders to exclude

The KB below generally fixes this issue. The files contain scheduling information about the polling jobs.  So, you can delete the files safely.
