new problem whit netflow

Hello everyone:

Previously I wrote commenting about problems that I have had the time to update solarwinds and some of its modules and all have been resolved. I now have a new problem that began with the installation module netflow. Version
I am using this module is 2.1-and sql 2005 with version 8.1 of solarwinds. At first I had trouble with the module to netflow when projecting the data on the web site of orion, and this step but now I have a new problem: When adding a new device I get the following message in the section events in the same module:
NetFlow Receiver Service [ORION] is receiving a NetFlow data stream from an unmanaged device (x.x.x.x). The NetFlow data stream from x.x.x.x will be discarded. Please use the Orion System Manager to add this IP address in order to process this NetFlow data stream.
But if the device is added and everything happens normally.
The other problem can be presented in the viewer events with the following message:
  Error Opening MainTaskDataReader Incorrect syntax near ')'. Incorrect syntax near ','. Incorrect syntax near ')'. Incorrect syntax near ')'. Incorrect syntax near ','. Incorrect syntax near ')'. Statement (s) could not be prepared.
That is the exact problem that tells me these messages? It will be a problem with my database?

When you say you're adding a new device, do mean adding it in Orion or in Netflow? And, are the devices already configured for Netflow?

What the error message says is Orion Netflow is seeing a data stream of flow data coming from that device. If you scan thwack for that message, there's a command you can run to see what interface Orion is talking about.

Now, I will say that I've seeing Cisco 12.2.4t IOS generate false netflow data - i.e. - netflow is only set for s0//0/0, but Orion says there's a flow from Vlan1.

All in all, it's not much to worry about IMHO.

As far as the other error goes, I'd call that one into support!
