NPM CPU Monitoring and Hyperthreading

The question was raised today about how Orion reports CPU load on hyperthreaded and multicore proc servers.

There was a concern that Orion would not report correctly on hyperthreaded systems.

My understanding is that Orion reports back the CPU load of all cores combigned in a single statistic (CPU Load).

Does anyone have information to the contrary? Also, has anyone seen issues with CPU monitoring on hyperthreaded systems?

Orion NPM currently averages all the CPU values together.  In the next release, we're adding per CPU values as well(for each logical CPU).

I've not heard of any issue with hyperthreaded CPU's.  Some of use develop on machines that have hyperthreading enabled, so I'm sure we would have run into them.
