How to build network topology with NW devices and servers ,Whether it will automatically connect to upstream device else we need to do it manually ?
We are using NPM,SAM,Virtualization
Do you want to "visualize" the topology? If so I'd use Network Atlas And build your custom Maps.
If NPM is able to poll the neighbor data, you can use the "connect now" tool in network atlas to automatically connect the devices you are showing on your map.
if you want to setup dependencies to handle alerts (e.g. if the main switch goes down, do not alert on the connected devices) you can set those in the dependencies Settings in the "all settings" menu
Yes , I am doing in Atlas all my Network devices got connected . We have dome vmware integration how the esx servers and VM will be connected . i can see only the vcenter IP ...could not see esxi and VM's
can someone help on this
Do you have your ESXi Hosts and VMs managed as Nodes? In order to place something on the Network Atlas it needs to be managed at a Node/Interface/Volume ... in Orion
since we did vmware integration it must have the relation of esxi and vm's Why i need to discover esxi or vm as a host
