We are getting Node status is Up, ###1### is ###2###. for one switch even though its up and child has warning. What is the issue it try to tell ?
Can you please post up what your alert message is configured as in your alert?
Maybe someone has just typed that text into your alert message. I've not seen anything that gives "###1###" as a variable output before.
I've seen this where there is some issue with the child status propogating up to the parent and the UI/database gets confused.
Part of the application thinks everything is up and working, and part of it does not.
I don't recall what I did to fix it now (sorry), so I'd suggest opening a support case and attaching a screenshot.
superfly99 this isn't in an alert, it's in the Node Details widget, or the All Nodes -- Table widget
it looks something like this:
Node is Up,###1### is ###2###
I guess this description is some kind of mess so i have overwrites the node description details in DB by doing the node Unmanage and manage again then this wearied description got erased
You may want to pop over and check out the NPM 12.5 beta - node status changes are in that beta release that you could probably benefit from NPM 12.5 BETA 1 IS OUT!
I dont know if this is still an issue for you - but I unmannged the Node and remanaged it after 5 mins and it fixed this for me.
