Syslog display preferences

How can I change the display preferences for syslog in NPM?

I want to add a nodename or sysname column and change the default number of messages from 250 to 500.

1. Click Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Syslog Viewer.

2. Click File > Settings.

3. Click General in the Syslog Server Settings window.

4. Position the top slider to set the Maximum number of messages to display in Current Messages view.

5. If you want Orion NPM to Automatically Refresh the Current Messages View, check the option accordingly, and then position the middle slider to set the refresh rate.

6. Position the bottom slider (Retain Syslog messages for how many days?) to set the length of time that Syslog messages should stay in the database.

7. Click Displayed Columns.

8. Use the arrow keys to select and order the fields of information that you want to see in the Current Messages view.

Yes, that works perfectly for viewing the syslog messages on the server.

I think I asked the wrong question. I need to change the syslog display preferences in Orion Web Console.

Prior to the upgrade to 8.1 changes to syslog view in NPM would be reflected in the Web Console.

Now the changes are not being translated. Any ideas?

I don't think adding columns in Syslog Viewer ever had any impact on the web console. I'm looking at 8.1 right now, and I can't duplicate that. Can you recall the steps you took to adjust the columns on the web console?
