Custom SQL Queries using report writer

I think I am just missing something really simple .. but  I have a SQL query written and it works nicely in SQL itself but i want to make it a report that I can view in solarwinds.  When I create a new report I am unable to past the query into the report and I am cannot seem to find the exact variables I am looking for using the GUI.

Is there a way for me to to simple copy/paste what I have into a report and make it super sunshine happy?

 

I tried the "Show SQL" and in the tab it put there it says for me to put my info in there but I can't paste anything.

When you create a new report select new advanced sql report.  It will have different tabs you can past into.  It looks like this:

Hopefully this gets you going in the right direction
