I currently have Notepager Pro installed on a Solarwinds server (Windows 2003 server). My Goal is to use SMS (SMTP) to send a page to the recipient's cell phone if/when a node goes down.
I have run into the following problems:
When sending a simple test message, the recipeint receives a duplicate message. Also, I have an alert configured on a particular node to use Notepager to send an SMTP message when the node goes down.
The recipient receives the message that the node is down + a duplicate. However, when the node returns to up status- the recipient does not receive the SMTP message via Notepager that the node is back up.
I have tried some of the tips from the Notepage support team who have been very helpful and curteous and quick to respond, but the problems persist.
I have checked the following:
-I am the only user logged in to the server
- No duplicate instances/processes of Npp.exe or Nppdialer
-Firewall temporarily disabled on that particular box
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
