nodes stop polling

I am looking for a report and an alert to tell me what nodes are not polling so i can restart the services to get them working again. Just checked my server and saw where some were last polled on 1/23/13.

Hi not sure if you ever sorted this as I am having a similar problem and only found out when someone's report had half the servers missing from it as it hadn't polled for 2 weeks to those servers. If there was a way to get an alert when a specific device isn't collecting data that would work rather than finding out after the event. We have an alert if the poller stops polling but that is for the whole poller not individual nodes.
