I have installed Orion (rev 8.5.1.0) with the Netflow module and I am having a problem with the Web Console.
The issues that I am seeing is as follows:
The ISAPI filter is stating "Unknown" for the priority.
If this is in the there I can not get the web console to be displayed. If I remove this I can get to the web console (I think) as long as I go to the true IP address and not the loopback address as the Orion Web Console.url directs IE to do.
The other thing that I noticed was the login page that we get re-directed to does not have the Orion Banner at the top of it as it does if I browse in the IIS to the base page.
I attempted to use Mark Wiggans procedure that was posted in another thread of "
A couple of things to look at are make sure that specific users have needed access. Check the security on both Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion and InetPub\Solarwinds and make sure that SOLARWINDS_WEBSITE and IUSR_machinename have full control to these folders and the child objects. Afterwards, go into the website properties and make sure the ISAPI filter is set to Low priority and not unknown.
If it is unknown, we will need to delete the website out of IIS. Afterwards, right-click on the website folder and choose New > Website. Click next on the "Welcome to" wizard, Enter any name for the website and click next. At this screen fill out the IP you want to specify for the website and port, but leave header blank. Click next from here and browse to the InetPub/SolarWinds directory and click next. Choose all the permissions and click next (click yes on the box that comes up). Press finish to have the website created. Afterwards, fire up the configuration wizard again and run only the website portion. Click yes when a box pops up acknowledging the current website so that you can use it. Once this is done, try the website again."
But I can not get the priority set to Low for the filter.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Thank you for your help.
