VCenter Polling Interval Isn't Acknowledged

We have a cluster of 3 VMware ESX Hosts managed by one VCenter instance.

Polling is currently occurring every 5 minutes on these nodes. No matter what I set the polling interval to, it still runs every 5 minutes.

What, if anything, can I do to make the monitor poll at the interval that I've defined?

And you changed the polling setting in Settings -> Polling Settings - > Polling Intervals, and then changed the default node poll interval?

The default node poll interval is set to 120 seconds (2 min), so I don't think that it's affecting this polling issue since the polling is occurring every 5 minutes.

The individual node polling interval should override this default anyway, right?

So it seems like the VMware polling is both ignoring the default interval as well as the setting we've implemented on the individual node.
