NPM 12 Netpath - Through a Tunnel?

Hi folks,

Really just a quick question for anyone that has worked in NPM 12 already. When using Netpath if you set the endpoint through a site to site VPN tunnel I would assume Netpath will show the tunnel as one "link" and its magic won't see any WAN/ISP links, is this correct? If I'm wanting to see the full path, should I plan on having a publicly IP'd device to monitor at each of our sites?

correct me if i am wrong, It would seem practical to setup the service to monitor the public ip address. because for tunnel interface you'd only see the entry and exit interfaces and nothing in between.i mean if I do a trace route to a loopback interface of a device at a branch office in my organization, i only see the tunnel interfaces.

Ashley, you are correct. I would use the distant end's tunnel source IP ideally.
