Report writing (Interface errors/data) with charts
pmiller
I've had great success getting all the elements up and running and doing data collections. I am able to view individual interfaces (click on the node, click on the interface and see what I want)
but I'd like to have the report page have consolidated info on a swtich for example.
example
- Say I have a 48 port switch (not cisco) that I want to see raw data and hourly totals for errors and throughput on each interface.
I can go to the URL and see the data there by clicking on each one. how can I see this in a report that shows a daily report (maybe with hourly graphs)
One interface per page for each report isnt cutting it...
thanks,
Paul

You can get the raw data on one page using the Report Writer application and publishing the report to the web page. This app is an add-on which you get with your yearly maintenance subscription. It is one of the best features for sending reports to upper management.
Here is what a "Current Interface Status" report looks like;
Dial-Back traffic report
Node Interface TxTraffic Peak TxTraffic Rate Today Peak TxTraffic Time
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DSL-Test1 Async1 · 1506 bps 3240 bps 12:05 AM
DSL-Test2 Async1 · 1864 bps 2652 bps 12:13 AM
There are MANY different reports you can make, based on History, Events, Inventory, Custom Properties, etc.
Best thing is you can right click on the report in your browser and select >Export to Microsoft Excel if you want this data locally or to create a custom graph.
