we are trying to monitor www.google.com from nethpath ,but getting dns error .What will be the issue .Source is my NPM server .But in my server internet based url will go through proxy server .What needs to be done.
This will be a setting that will either be on the server itself or on setting you need to change on your proxy server.

let's start with testing a non-web based path. Create a path going to an IP or Hostname of a remote router on a port it's probably listening on, like 22. See what we get.

Try out a different source (not your NPM server) - a different PC maybe with the Solarwinds agent installed. Make sure you are able to access the internet from this PC. This will help you troubleshoot.

i tried with different PC where agent is installed , now i am trying to check some port connection ,getting probe status error.
take dns out of the situation use ip instead so try 8.8.8.8 and use port 443 i assume you can get to the internet from a web viewer (chrome,firefox or IE) on your poller.
From reading, it sounds like you have a proxy in the settings of the net path there is a proxy section just add the required details
