Alert Suppression

We have some databases we monitor with APM. Once a week they go down for cold backups. I want an alert sent whenever the databases are down, excluding this backup window.

How do I configure the Advanced alert to exclude these windows without having multiple alerts defined for each database? Isn't there a way to use the Alert Suppression feature and tell it "if date = xxx and time = xxx"?

The Time of Day option is just too limiting, especially given that the backups generally take place over night, spanning two days. That means I need 1 alert for 5 days a week of 24 hour checking. 1 alert for the day the backup starts ( for example monitor from 12:00 am until backup kicks off at 10:00pm on Saturday). And 1 alert for the day the backup ends (for example monitor from 2:00am to 11:59pm on Sunday.) That's 3 alerts defined for 1 application...
