GUI snmp configurator

Hey all,

Does any know of a SNMP configuration program. I need the programs to write the snmpd.conf file. I tried the one that comes with net-snmp and I can not get it to work properly. It works for some things but not others. I need something that will help me by asking questions I can understand like

What is the community name (Group name for SNMP v3).

Is the community a read only or read-write?

etc.....

I don't know of a GUI that will create a SNMP configuration file, but here is a link that can help you get SNMPv3 working using net-snmp running on Linux (Ubuntu)

What you need to remember is that SNMPv3 doesn't have a community name, it uses specific users for authentication and there is a context file that shows what level of privilege the username / password is granted via that file.
