Another question about custom pollers

Hello,

Well last week I got custom pollers to work so atleast show up on my page when I go into a device. Now i added Cisco ARP table and Cisco CDP nei and when I go to look at them, I see the custom poller name and then * values and when I click on it, there is an empty graph. How come when I go to the page where I downloaded the custom pollers () () I don't see a nice little graph like pictured there in their preview?

As always, any help would be appriciated.

Hi cereal83,

Thanks for taking the time to provide all that detail. I think I see the issue now.

The link you are getting when you click on the poller data is actually for a custom chart, which is not the same as the tabular poller data view.

To see the view on your node details page, we need to specify it from the UnDP. If you right click on the poller, one of the options you will see is "Web Display". Clicking on that will take you too a screen where you can select in which view the table should be included.

Then you should be able to return to the node details and see it added at the end of the page.

If I understand your post correctly you have the pollers assigned to the device, but the expected values are not displayed?

Did you make any changes to the pollers after you imported them to your system?

From the universal device poller were you able to use the 'Test' button and retrieve those values for the desired node?

Hello and thanks for a reply. I took some screenshots so hopefully this will help you out a bit.

You can see which custom pollers I am talking about the cdp one. I see only Poller name, then current status is 7 value and when I click on it

Thats all I see which are devices and nothing like pictured in the custom poller download page (img: http://thwack.com/cfs-file.ashx/__key/CommunityServer.Components.UserFiles/00.00.01.67.71/CDP.PNG)

I have not customized anything. I just imported the poller, assigned it to a few devices, then went into options for the poller to show up on the webpage.

Any help would be appriciated as I would like the pollers to work as they shuld and maybe I am missing a step.

I did also click the test button before assigning and it shows all the devices attached to it

Wow thanks for the reply. Thats exactly what I was talking about and I can see it now as I wanted to before I asked the question. Thanks alot for your help.
