Arista Power Supply Poller

I'm trying to create a custom poller for the power supplies on our Arista switches. When I enter 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.2.100711000 for the OID and add the poller to a device it doesn't show the current power supply status. If I search the MIB tree it will bring up the entPhysiclDescr(2) category that has the power supply status, however, it still will not show up under the vital stats for the node.

alibi - I assume you tested this against some of your devices and do get a returned value correct? Can you show a screenshot from the UnDP tool showing a successful test? The OID you show above might not be anything more than a textual description of an entity, and not an actual numeric value. Therefore depending on how you chose to display this under vital stats, might not provide what you are expecting. I assume you would be looking for a response such as 1,2,3,etc... which could be enumerated based on your vendors MIB. So 1 would be ok, 2 would be down, and so on. This way you can represent this in a number of ways in the product.

A quick look shows that this might not be very straight forward however. You may need to check with the vendor. A more promising OID might be 1.3.6.1.2.131.1.1.1.3 - but check out this quick article: Add support for Arista power supply state in sensors table · Issue #7621 · librenms/librenms · GitHub

jblankjblank Yes, I'd like it to display an up/down status for the device. I think you're right, the OID I'm using is just a textual description.

I would like the output of the poller to look similar to the built-in sensor they have for the power supply fans

We are running Orion Platform 2018.4, NPM 12.4. I'll look over the links you listed to see if they help out.

In NPM you will need to display the whole list. You can't pick certain options. But in SAM, you will be able to pick the exact option you want and display it accordingly.
