Web page error

I get the following error on all pages.

Network Performance Monitor Startup Error

Cannot start SolarWinds Orion NPM Web Engine (OrionNPMWeb.Application).

Error Number -2147467238
006~ASP 0177~Server.CreateObject Failed~8000401a

You may need to rerun the SolarWinds Configuration Wizard.
Visit http://www.solarwinds.net/netperfmon/help/admin/Security for more detailed information.

I have rerun the wizard and re-installed. Any ideas

Permissions yes but I would hesitate to think it's DB related.

Try to Delete the Com+ object.

Control Panel -> Adminitrative Tools > Component Services > Computers > My Computer > Com + Applications and delete the Solarwinds NPM Com Object. Then re-open the config wizard and skip straight to the Create Website tab. Run through this tab until it says the website is created and try again.

Also make sure the Distributed Transaction service is started. If that still does not work you will need to set the DEP settings to allow for essential windows and programs services only (requires reboot)

Thanks for the help. As I was going into Component Services, it was brutally slow. I remembered that our MSDTC sometime gets FUBAR'ed. I entered the following at a command prompt that relieves that problem msdtc -resetlog, then net start msdtc. I went in and it was responsive. I delete the COM Application, then re-installed just the web portion, but I still got the error. I then reinstalled the whole app and I still get the error. I also checked and the COM Application has not been reinstalled. Anything else I can try?

Right-clickon My Computer and select properties
Click on Advanced
Click the Settings button in the performance section
Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab
Set to Turn on DEP for Essential Windows programs and service only

You will now need to reboot the server and then re-run the Configuration Wizardfrom

Start->All Programs->SolarWindsNetwork Performance Monitor->Confiuration Wizard making sure to run throughall steps.

I had that problem, which was caused by having 'User must change password on next logon" on the SOLARWINDS_WEBSITE local user account. See my link - hope it helps.
