Discovery will not complete; log shows repeating error message

I just completed an installation of 10 Orion apps at the latest versions and I find that network discovery will not complete. Every discovery I have tried times out. I went looking for the Network Discovery log and could not find it, but I do see the following message in the DiscoveryResultDump log for each device discovered:

"MsSqlDetection - NotApplicable (000.05s): [Invalid namespace  Scope: 192.168.5.202\root\Microsoft\SqlServer[\192.168.5.202\Administrator] ErrorCode: 0x8004100E]"

Can anyone help me with the discovery timeout issue and tell me if this error message has any useful information about the problem? Thanks in advance.

I don't have a direct fix for you, but this looks to be a WMI issue.

Invalid Namespace is a pretty good one when it can't find what you're looking for. The format appears as \\<IP>\root\<etc...> which looks like the namespace path.

Are you running a discovery and trying to add SQL templates (or AppInsight for SQL) and perhaps to nodes that wouldn't otherwise have it enabled?

Is it possible to omit adding applications at this time, if that is part of your discovery and see if it completes?

There's a lot of variables that could be considered and it may be that some practiced eyes from Support could get to the bottom fairly quickly if you're under maintenance, but I wanted to offer some things to consider in the meantime.
