You are not permitted to view net object N:2181 Unexpected Website Error

Hi Friends,

While trying a hands on my NPM, i got stuck with this error message. Can someone help. Solarwinds kb articles doesnt seems to be of much help. due to this error, now i am not able to edit the interface properties of my switch where i want to monitor the port utilization. port response time, network latency on the port etc...

Note: It was a working setup and somehow during some setting changes, this message started cropping up and now it doesnt allow me to edit the switch port properties.

Go To Settings > Views > Manage Views and then find Node Details - Summary. Click EDIT

Check if there are limitations added to it. If so, delete and try to access the page again

Looks like a permission issue on your account, go to managed accounts and check what permissions are set for your id, if that looks good then click on the checkbox next to your account -> click edit -> check what permissions you have under module tab

Go to Manage Nodes and see if you can edit the interfaces that way. You should be able to delete the node there as well.

if you view the error report locally you will get some useful text that might indicate what has gone wrong

Thank you all for your responses. The issue was mainly due to View type which i messed up while playing around with it. I have corrected it and now the issue is not seen any more. thanks a lot janane16 for your explanation along with the specific screeshot details.
