Cannot change from ICMP to SNMP in 9.5.1

Question

I upgraded to NPM 9.5.1 last night - and it went well.

We just got our telecom provider to grant us SNMP-readonly access to our routers.  Currently we monitor up/down status with ICMP, and want to maintain existing availability - and just switch them to SNMP.

I can run SNMPWalk, and connect to the routers from Engineer's Toolset.

I found that the System Manager appears to be deprecated - when you click on a node, your only option is "Manage Node", which takes me to the website.

I can un-check the "ICMP Only" box, which allows me to enter SNMP credentials - but when I "test", it comes back failed every time.

Any work arounds, or anything I haven't tried?

In case it helps, the nodes were not created in 9.5.1, they were imported from a prior version (I think they were all created in 9.1, but possibly the version before that).

Anything that I can do to avoid recreating these would be great.  I don't want to lose the historic availability information.

Yes, from the Orion server I can run MIB Walk on the router.  I know it's SNMPv2 capable from using SNMPWalk and specifying v2.  The string is "ATTREAD", so it's hard to mess up.

From the website, I unclick ICMP, enter the string in the "read-only" spot.  Select SNMPv2 and "Test", and it comes back "Test Failed".
