Discards and Errors

Hi
I would like to know the unit of the Discards and Errors of the Interfaces. The unit of the chart is Mb, however the data is 979,417 discards for exampple.I think the unit of 979,417 discards is byte,is it right?

I think the unit of discards is packets so 979,417 is the numnber of packets discards.
