Different polling intervals per group of nodes

Hello, is there a possibility in orion NPM to create different group of nodes and then set a different polling time for each of these groups ?

This functionallity would be something we'd be interested in too.
It would make it much easier to assign switches and servers different polling and statistic intervals.

There is currently no app that does this, but you can get creative & change the polling based on a custom property.

Using the Orion Database Manager, you can create a custom query to change the polling interval based on a common custom property assigned to the group.

A query something like this should work:

Update [polling interval table]
Set [polling_interval]=y
Where [node.custom_property]=x

You will have to get the correct syntax of the table names in the square brackets
(I don't have the DB manager handy right now].

Good idea, as I have already grouped all nodes by using custom properties. Doing this by using SQL statements also seems more
flexible than an app, although less comfortable

Will try this as soon as I'm back from holiday and post the results in this forum.

Agreed, this type of functionality would be wonderful. This way we could set have a polling SLA field and set polling based on that on a bulk change basis.
