Interface traffic utilisation was showing above 100%

Any router interface if it has 10 Mbps link then it should take maximum 100% but the interface traffic is showing 110% to 140% utilisation. Ideally It shouldnt show more that 100%.

Please provide the solution to rectify this issue.

Hi Kunalm

Please check what bandwidth is configured on the interface . If the configured bandwidth is below the actual bandwidth of the media than you are bound to see such figures.

<5% increase is expected above 100% because of the interface buffers but it should not be 140%.

We already check out all those things but it still showing around 140% even though the bandwidth configuartion on the interface.

do you have other solution?
