After version 10 upgrade X.509 error message

In event viewer: Error starting plugin Orion Cannot load the X.509 certificate identity specified in the configuration.

Is this error anything to be concerned about?

Is it causing you performance issues? If not, you can monitor it to see if it clears up. If it doesn't, open a support ticket.

It sounds like your Job Engine Certificate may be Missing.

You can see the Certificates under:

Start> Run> MMC. File> Add new Snap-in> Certificates. Computer Account> Local Computer, then OK.
Under Certificates> Personal> Certificates you will see Several Certificates.
At the minimum you Should have the Solarwinds Job Certificate. Since I also have APM and IPAM, I also see the Solarwinds APM Engine, and Solarwinds IPAM Engine Certificates as Well.

If you are Missing any certificates, or just want to save time, Go into the Path Below and select JobEngine.msi, then select Repair:

Server 2003:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\Installers

Server 2008:

C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Installers
