We are in the process of swapping out our Juniper Netscreens for Cisco ASA firewalls. The firewall name and IP addresses are remaining the same.
Our issue is that every time we switch out a netscreen and put in a Cisco, the cisco device with the same name / IP address shows as device down in Orion. It does not come back. We attempt to re-poll the device and it does not help. The only way to get it to work is to delete the old device and recreate it. The problem is that we lose all of the old data when the netscreen was running and we were unable to compare it to the new data when the Ciscos are running.
Any way to do this without deleting the old information.
