setting alert for nodes in down state to be sent once and not repeat itself until another change of status?

I configured an alert on Orion to 'email me when a node goes down'. I have about  2,000 nodes. This alert comes every minute when a node is down and repeat itself for the same nodes every minute. You can imagine the amount of alert we get before the support group are able to resolve the issues with any node in down state. My question is:  

(1) Is there any way to make Orion send this alert when the node goes down and will not send another one until it comes up?

(2) If there is a way to do that. please let me know the procedure to do this.

That option is in the "Send an email/page" action under Trigger Actions in the alert definition. 

Go to the Alert Escalation tab, and either disable "Execute this action repeatedly while the Alert is Triggered" or set that to an interval that works for your environment/SLA.
