Is there a way to use the Resource "List all Virtual Machines" to list all virtual machines that Orion is aware of? The resource appears to be host-specific, but I'm wondering if it can be expanded.
Thanks,
Kevin Clark

Hi Kevin,
So there is a way to do this with a report. In Orion Report Writer, create a new Report. Choose "Advanced SQL".
Select your Report Group and Report Title. Next go to the SQL tab.
Make sure the "Make this Report Available from the Orion Website" is checked on the general tab.
Enter this SQL:
SELECT VirtualMachines.DisplayName, VirtualMachines.OperatingSystem, VirtualMachines.GuestState, Nodes.CaptionFROM VirtualMachines INNER JOIN Nodes ON VirtualMachines.HostNodeID = Nodes.NodeID
Obviously you are free to play around with the SQL. Click the Execute SQL Query Button.
Change the Field Formatting and Report Grouping per your liking. (optional)
Next go to the Orion Web Console and navigate to the page you would like to place this new resource on.
Click the "edit" link in the upper right hand corner of the page by the date time.
Click the + button by the column of resources you would like to add this to.
Select the "Report from Orion Report Writer" from the Report Writer tree item.
Click Done and navigate back to your page.
There will be the new resource on this page. Click the Edit button on that resource.
Select the new report from the list and set the other settings as you like. Click submit and enjoy your new customized SQL Query view.
Let me know if this works for you.
Thanks
Thanks Karlo! That is exactly what I was looking for. Works Great!

Wow! Quick and simple. I was just looking into trying to figure this out and your directions for this were dead-on Karlo.
Is there a way to create a view where all the VM servers are displayed with their running statistics like VMmemory used/VM cpu used ?
Thus creating a quick overview off all VM servers and their running status
My question is also somewhat like this. How do you configure % CPU Shares> It only gives numbers and we have no idea what the total is.
