Possible to include device outage info in map view?

I know you can edit the view.asp to remove the list of nodes on a map but what I want to know if anyone has figured out how to add something to it. I want to include a list of devices and their last events.

This is helpful to management when they look at a map they can see if any of the devices went down and when. I know that they can run a report but this allows them to see all of the information in one place.
