Node Management issue when adding interfaces

We have had this issue from the beginning. When adding interfaces through Node Management, the alias ( or description on the interface side ) will NEVER update. We have tried various things to try to find a fix, but only way we are able to get the interface to update properly is to remove and then re-add the interface within System Manager.

I already have case # 125979 open with Solarwinds, but thought I would see if anyone else is having the same issue.

I have not heard of this issue from anyone else that I am aware of, please keep us posted on the result from support please

You wouldn't by any chance be trying to add these interfaces through the web portal using a browser other than IE, (such as chrome or firefox) would you?

I have tried it in both IE6 and Firefox, same issue.

Go ahead and open a support ticket. Be sure to run diagnostics first to expedite the process.

Here's how, if you don't already know:

1. Click Start>SolarWinds Orion>Documentation and Support>Orion Diagnostics.

2. Click Start.

3. Name the file in the Save As window. The Diagnostics program runs.

4. Open a support ticket here. You won't be able to attach the diagnostics file to the online form, but you'll receive a follow-up email that allows you to attach it then.
