Server & Application Monitor 5.5 Now Available - Latest Version Information

SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor 5.5 has been officially released and is now available for download. All SAM customers under active maintenance can download SAM 5.5 from the customer portal. Got the e-mail with this announcement but so far can't find the download under the Customer Portal...

Once you've logged into your customer portal click on "View all downloads" or "View all Licenses". You should see a listing for "Server & Application Monitor v5" with a button labeled "Choose Download". Here is where you can download the latest version of SAM, or any previous version also. If you don't see SAM 5.5 listed as an option in your customer portal then I recommend opening a case with Customer Service for assistance.

I installed the RC just a few days ago... worth upgrading to full version or can/should I remain on this version for the time being?

If you upgraded to SAM 5.5 RC3 then you're running the absolute latest version. SAM 5.5 RC3 is the final GA release.

Bummer... it was 5.5 RC2. Anyone know the differences between the two? I will however schedule an upgrade.

There were a handful of bugs addressed between RC2 and RC3. The most notable issue fixed was a bug identified in SAM 5.5 RC2 that broke NPM's hardware health monitoring.
