NET-SNMP Version for SUN
mjhamilton
Just wanted to find out what version of NET-SNMP people are using (successfully!!) on SUNOS 9 devices.. I am running v7.5 of Orion and am planning to rebuild some SUN devices....
Previously I have been using Net-SNMP 5.09 with no problems... but I heard there are/were issues with 5.1 & 5.2...
Comments and thoughts would be apprieciated... [8D]

I know this is slightly off-topic, but we JUST successfully implemented net-snmp v5.2 on FC3 and it's working great. We had major problems with earlier versions.
Hope that helps.

I am now using the 5.09 binary for Solaris on v9 of the OS.. have written a simple config manual and created the relevant files that are needed to make the whole thing work..
I get perfect reporting on NIC, drive space, CPU and memory...... v happy [:D]
Works a treat even tho the binary is for Solaris v5.8 [;)]
