Is READ/WRITE SNMP access required for Windows Servers?

I'm trying to set up group policy for SNMP settings on our Windows Servers which are monitored by NPM/APM.

 

Neither Group Policy, nor the SolarWinds SNMP Enabler support setting READ/WRITE permissions, only READ ONLY. So, are READ WRITE permissions actually required for Windows pc's and if I don't set a READ WRITE community string, what am I going to miss out on?
