I haven't checked but im sure this was suggested/requested as a feature so I didnt bother.

My question is.....
Has anyone customized their search function in orion?
There are at least two ways i see it can be improved.
Method 1. Instead of having the "search node" portlet on your dashboard which takes up valuable real estate on your screen move the search to a field up top to the black menu bar that will exist on every page you browse. This can be enabled or disabled in different views. There may be no need for it on the NOC View for large panel displays in an Ops Center for example.
Method 2. This one can be in addition to method one, or can be used as a standalone while keeping the old search portlet.
a. remove the "search by" drop down. Allow for search logic where you can search all at same time.
b. configure search results page to spit out results in categories.
This will make more sense if you review the attached images.
Has anyone customized their environment to this degree. does the search slow down, do items come up missing?
