Has anyone ever had issues nodes that have been added with network discovery?
After building a new environment, I ran some autodiscoveries (over a period of the night) and all was eventually well. Now I knew I had a few nodes that were going weird (See below) but I didn't expect it to be about 500 nodes
What is happening is the following:
Though if you look in the list resources, this happens
But, these nodes are either polled by WMI, or, SNMP. But I finally get the following issue:
So, I can put it down to three things:
- The node: Maybe, maybe not. I am getting networks to see if some IP addresses are passing through SNMP/WMI requests. I don't know how it would affect it and this requires more information.
- The network: I have given networks some nodes to check to see if SNMP/WMI traffic is flowing
- The application ; That has yet to be determined. I don't know until further work is carried out.
- The GPO: I can't see how it this. I ran a script that allows me to check the SNMP status of every node and the script was applied as required.
