Anyone else finding that the Views by Device Type no longer work after an upgrade to 8.5 from 8.1?
All my devices now just get the Standard view....
Yes! ( just discovered the issue and was looking here for a solution)
Looked in the db tables: the association between the device type and view id looks ok but doesn't seem to have any effect.
Have you logged a call with Solarwinds?
Yes, ticket logged with Solarwinds.
They haven't identified it as a 'bug' at this time as apparently we're the first to report it, but we've sent them some info to debug the issue.
I've also opened a ticket, might help to persuade them its a bug.
I'll post any fix if I get it.......
Found the issue...
Go to "Manage Account" , select your userID, and look for "<userid> Performance Monitor Settings" near the bottom. Expand the plus sign, and you'll see your view settings for that user. Change each from Node Details to By Device Type.
I'm not sure what happened during the upgrade, but our default DOMAIN\Everyone user maintained this view setting, while any Admin user was reset back to default and we never noticed this new? setting....? Or maybe I just didn't notice this setting before 8.5!
