can the UPDATE button on Custom Properties view in Orion be hidden/removed?

can the UPDATE button on Custom Properties view in Orion be hidden or removed?

i've just began to use Custom Properties for NODES and see in the Orion web view the ability to use this UPDATE button to alter my data entered into the custom-property field.

is this normal? i'd prefer not to include this for users to access due to the risk of them making changes to it. and i tested it with users w/o admin auth and it does allow changes.

That resource is "Edit Custom Node Property"  It comes with the Update button, which cannot be hidden.

To remove it, go to Admin > Manage Views.  Choose the Node Details page.  Edit.  You'll see a list that includes the words "Edit Custom Node Property".  Remove it.  Save the page, and no one will see it.

here is what is presented to a user once the CUSTOM PROPERTY is added to a Node.

notice that the name HEADQUARTERS can be altered by the user. it is this UPDATE button which i want to either hide or remove.

Denny said to edit the page but exactly how is that done?

That resource can be removed.  We added it to make sure users were aware of the existence and value of custom properties, but if you don't want it, customize the page and remove it.
