Cannot connect to the remote APE System Manager through the main server

If I run the System Manager on main NPM server, I can choose connect a remote APE server, but I get the message

Cannot connect to SERVER_APE

Permission denied

Be sure the server SERVER_APE has full access right to the client

What rights do I have to add?

I posted that before someone pointed me to the solution I posted above. What are you trying to do in System Manager? There isn't much functionality left in that tool. Most of the admin work has been moved to the web console.

It's a Windows security issue. The following procedure worked on our servers.

dcomcnfg

Expand tree: Component Services ->Computers ->My Computer

Right-click My Computer

Properties

Default Properties Tab: Checked, Checked, Connect, Identify, not checked

COM Security Tab:

1) Click Access Permission, Add "Authenticated Users", check both permissions

2) Click Edit Limits, "Authenticated Users", check all permissions

Restart NPM services
