Hey guys, hope you can help me.
I have Ver 8.0.2 running on a Windows 2003 box with SQL enterprise.
Everything was working fine, the sites added now problem, even created custom properties for the nodes no problem. This worked fine for the last three or so months. We created IPSec tunnels to the remote sites and could monitor all the devices on the internal side of the networks.
On Monday we tried to discover our first site which runs on PTP tunnel.
Here is a reply which I got from the guys at Solarwinds
Update for Case #19411 - "Can't open NPM"
Dear Stefan,
Thank you for contacting SolarWinds. In response to your issue: License is seriously corrupt?
This message indicates that there is a poller with a node ID of zero. Open the Database Manager, and then expand your SQL server, or add it if it is not listed. Locate and expand the NetPerfMon database, right mouse click on any table, and select Query Table. Replace the default query with the query below and click refresh.
Delete from Pollers
Where NetObject=’N:0’
An upgrade to the new verion would also resolve this issue, you need to have a active Maintenances status to do this. I will have our Customer service department contact you to discuss this further.
So I was wondering, what causes this problem? After we encountered this problem we deleted the objects from the pollers but since then I can't add any new sites successfully.
The sites get added but does not show in the node list in the SW manager and when I try and add the custom properties to the respective fields it tells me the type of data is not allowed in the field or the value is to big (more than 50 characters which I defined) which is not the case
Any ideas?
Thanks
