SNMP Trap Reception

OK-

This Friday we are making the final push away from HP Openview. However since orion does not currently support trap reception, I need a program to catch the traps from my various devices, and forward them as an email

Or run an external script to post the event to the Orion DB.

What are other people using, and does Solarwinds have a loose timeframe for this functionality? (Roadmap??)

Try Adiscon WinSysLog (www.winsyslog.com/.../winsyslog5-editions.php)
Lots of options for logging forwarding and is rule based.

I'm using Kiwi Syslog Daemon as well. You can set up filters (registered version) that will email you on specific traps you define. Works well.
