Generate alert from Liebert A/C unit?

Hi there.

I downloaded the universal device poller for a Liebert A/C unit from Thwack a few weeks ago, and so far that's working very well. It is gathering data from the unit and it displays it on the device's page, but I have another question. Now that I'm gathering the data, I need to generate an alert if temp goes too high or things like that. I have been experimenting with the Alert Manager and Advanced Alert Manager, but I can't seem to find the way to take the data generated by the Universal Device Poller and make it available to the Alert Managers so that I can trigger off of it. Can someone point me in the right direction?
