Problems with Threshold Alerts & Suppressions

I have setup a threshold alert (see pic below) that seems to work. Unfortunately it stopped working completely when I added the suppression rule (see pic below). My expectation was that the suppression rule I added would only keep the alert from tripping for that specific node.

Please help, what am I missing here? Thanks in advance for any help!

Try this post and see if it helps with your problem.

I think you can accomplish what you need by removing your alert suppression and adding a criteria to your trigger condition that says:

NodeName is not equal to Rick's Leaf Node

To make sure I understand...

The Alert Suppression is completely independent of the Alert Trigger, if anything in the database matches the Alert Suppression the alert will not trigger?
