Is this a memory leak? Orion 6.1.1
savoyr
Is anyone else having issues with memory becoming 100% allocated from time to time? I'm wondering if there may be a bug and/or a fix. Orion will occasionally stop collecting data and requires a restart of the service to correct it.
Thanks in advance,
Rick

If you are running Orion NPM and SQL on the same machine it could be that SQL is consuming all of the system memory. By default, SQL Server is configured to consume all available system memory (up to 2GB for the Desktop Engine and Standard Edition). You might try limiting the amount of RAM that SQL can access and see if it resolves the issue.
Also, looks like you're running version 6.1.1 of Orion NPM. Version 6.4 is available from the SolarWinds website and includes several performance enhancements and stability improvements.

I'm liking this forum already. Thanks for the responses, I have restricted the memory that SQL allocates and we will see how it goes.
Thanks again,
Rick
