how to activate unplug port mode on NPM9.5

If you go to Admin -> Manage Nodes and at the top of the window, change the drop down from nodes to interfaces and then select one or more interfaces you wish to set as unplugged via the checkboxes and select edit properties. Within this dialog there is a checkbox called Display interface as unplugged rather than down. Select this and submit

Is there any *easy* way to do this programatically? We've got about 29k interfaces we're monitoring with about 3/4 of them being switch ports. I'd like all the normal switch ports to be treated as unplugged but it will take forever if we try check them individually. (I tried a interface search that matched FastEthernet but it crashed the page.)
