Where Does "Event" Verbiage Come From?

Where does the verbiage generated by "Events" come from? Where is it stored? Is it possible to be changed / edited? I'm okay with doing it directly with SQL. Will changing it affect anything else or is it all for human-informational purposes?

Can you elaborate further please? We have Events in Orion which are internal system messages or events. What are you wanting to change or modify?

Well, partly I'm asking for general information, but also because I would like to change this one specifically:

SOMESWITCH-GigabitEthernet0/48 - Gi0/48 User defined Receive Bandwidth changed from 10000000 to 1000000000 bps

It's obnoxious, I would prefer it just say switched to GB or something.

You may pull up the Advanced Alert Manager tool and look for the Configure Alerts option.Look for the alert in the question and edit the alert trigger action.

Hope this should help to edit the event.

Basically getting back to your question ,where are the events coming from.They are pre- defined alerts with its trigger action set to "Log the Alert to the NetPerfMon EventLog".When the Alert condition is met,the trigger action starts updating as events in the Orion.

As near as I can tell, you cannot edit the *event* verbiage, only the *alert* verbiage via the advanced alert editor.
