System Manager Node Tree Missing

I'm not really sure what has happened, but now when I open Orion System Manager, I only see the splash screen. The expandable node tree on the left hand side is now missing. Anyone know what I need to do to get it back?

I had the same symptom happen in early May.
In System Manager, the display lists the nodes assigned to the poller.
When using the Poller Load Balancing tool - it appeared that the polling engine had somehow been assigned to NULL for all devices on one of the pollers (we run two polling engines).
We tried a number of things, including manually assigning the poller - but it did not resolve the situation.
The best we could do was to restore the database prior to the corruption point.
It was logged as an issue with support - they had not seen this issue before and advised upgrading to 7.8.5 (we were very close to this level anyway).
I would be interested if this is a similar issue to the one you see.

If I had to guess, I think the corruption occurred at the time of a netperfmon restart - when I cancelled the baseline activity calculation (something I never normally do).

Yeah, this happened to me after I cancelled a baseline activity calculation. Unfortunately, I do not have a recent backup to go to -- I don't regularly back up my Orion server since it isn't what I would consider "mission critical," however, I would still like to get my viewing pane back on my System Manager. Anyone else have any ideas?

Find the following in your registry

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Orion Network Performance Monitor\NodeList]
Set "Visible"="True"
and "Width"="2000"

Your list should be back

Sorry Chris - I don't have any other suggestions.
Have you logged a support call?
I needed to recover our server ASAP - so didn't have a chance to engage support for options before the restore (time zone difference can be a problem for us in Australia).
Support may be able to collect more information about the corruption from your example - and suggest a resolution without a restore.

Here the same problem, registry change did not solve the issue

I restarting the SolarWinds Orion Network Performance Monitor service, but the issue persisted.

Then I stop all the services of Orion NPM and delete the last register of table Nodes (MS SQL query), then restart SQL, and start Orion NPM services. The baseline initiate, and now is polling correctly.
